Our Education System

What's Unique About our System?

Through the Dorayme Home Studio System, young musicians not only develop their musical abilities but also cultivate essential life skills such as organization, self-motivation, and self-discipline. Along their journey, they engage in collaborative learning by participating in music camps and performance opportunities, fostering teamwork and social interaction. We also make sure parents stay informed and engaged.

The Dorayme Home Studio System is designed to enhance this experience, making music education both enriching and enjoyable.

Our Music Learning Planner provides students with an organized roadmap for the year, accessible to parents via Google Drive. Students track and complete their Annual Basic Workload within this system, ensuring accountability and steady progress.

Learning music is like learning a language—the more you practice, the better you get. Our exclusive 4-in-a-Pack system motivates students to perform four pieces in a mini concert or recorded session. Completing each set earns them a mini certificate which will be displayed on the 4-in-a-Pack Notice Board in each home studio. Students also will receive 4-in-a-Pack badges that reflect the number of completed sets, creating a fun and engaging way to develop sight-reading and performance skills.
Theory Camp:
Theory is more enjoyable when it’s hands-on! Our intensive Theory Camp involve a contract, a bell and a group learning atmosphere. Each student progresses at their own pace while staying motivated by friendly competition.

Holiday Music Camp:
These camps offer unique opportunities for musical growth that go beyond the standard lesson structure. Children participate in activities that boost creativity, teamwork, and musical understanding.
We give out Reward Badges to various activities including camps, theory grade completion, e-learning and other end of the year rewards (e.g. Most Promising). All these badges can be pinned onto the very long lasting Dorayme Canvas Bag.
We understand that learning the piano can feel solitary, so we introduced the House System to build community and foster motivation. Upon enrollment, each student is assigned to one of four houses:
  • Cimarosa
  • Rachmaninov
  • Monteverdi
  • Scarlatti
Students earn House Points for practice and other activities. House points foster camaraderie, healthy competition, and an encouraging learning environment.
To motivate consistent practice, students earn 0-10 House Points each week based on their effort. For every 10 points, they receive a diamond on their attendance sheet. Collecting 5 diamonds allows students to select a reward from the Gift Boxes.
We understand that supporting a child’s music education can be both rewarding and challenging. Our Parents’ Corner offers helpful articles, insights, and resources designed to assist parents. We aim to make your journey as a musical parent enjoyable and stress-free, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
Although not mandatory, we encourage students to seize public performance opportunities, whether at competitions, masterclasses, external concerts, or our own Final Recital. Performing in public builds confidence and helps students grow as musicians.
Our **E-Learning Department**, initially developed during the pandemic, continues to thrive. We use online platforms for teacher training, theory classes, and virtual events such as online camps and concerts. With a vision for future growth, we are committed to expanding this department to promote learning without borders.
To fully master music as a language, students must learn to read, play, and write. We integrate music theory into weekly lessons by extending the class by 5-10 minutes, ensuring assignments are completed on-site. Theory books are kept by teachers for marking to ensure continuous feedback and progress.During school holidays, students can join our Theory Camp, which makes learning theory interactive and fun through structured activities, contracts, and a bell for timed challenges.
